- 1Ask for cigarette reviews from your friends/or family. Find someone you know such as a good friend or family member to suggest a certain brand of cigarettes. You can even go online and find recommendations on cigarette brands! There are actually tons of cigarette brands such as Marlboro, du Maurier, Peter Jackson and many more! You can even try flavoured cigarettes that taste like mint (menthol). Pick about 5 of your favourite suggestions.
- 2Ask yourself if you like a light or heavy taste of tobacco smoke? This is the next key to determining if you like Ultra Light, Light, Regular, Heavy, Smooth or whatever else is out there. Just ask yourself what you're really looking for in a cigarette.
- 3Collect those brands of cigarettes. Find where they're located and purchase them. You can go to a tobacco store (in most malls) or at the gas station. Purchase them and go home.
- 4Go to your area of choice to smoke. Get there and light up that cigarette and smoke it. After smoking it, criticize it and ask yourself "Was it good?" and "If I could say some thing about it, what will it be?"
- 5According to your regular smoking routine, light a cigarette when the time is right. Everyone has a smoking routine whether it be ever 30 minutes, 2 hours or 3 hours etc. You should get the previous cigarette smell and taste out of you, so you can have that fresh start with testing a cigarette again.
- 6Smoke that cigarette and repeat the previous step. Make sure you're choosing a cigarette from each pack and that each pack is a different brand. Either memorize or write down how good it was and if you can, what would you change about it. Those two questions help a lot.
- 7A day or so after, determine which you liked the best. Sometimes this is a difficult question because some people find all cigarettes taste alike.
- 8Continue to purchase the cigarette brand. Every time you need a pack of cigarettes, at least you know which one you want and which one works for you!
